Regional Museum
Its exhibition halls bring together a varied collection of lithic pieces of the Recuay culture (from 0 to 600 AD), a human group from the pre-Inca era that emerged in the Santa River valley, after the fall of the Chavín, one of the matrices civilizers of the Andean world.
Sanctuary Lord of Solitude
It was erected after 1970, to house the Lord of Solitude, the patron of Huaraz, whose feast is celebrated in the first days of May. The beloved and revered image of Christ, dates from the 16th century.
José Olaya Street
It is the only street that resisted the earthquake of 1970. You can appreciate the characteristics of the traditional Huaraz where you can taste the chicha de jora and typical foods of the Ancash Region, every Sunday and holidays.
Trout farm – Piscigranja
This important trout farm in the region is located on the banks of the Quillcay River, a few blocks from Jr. José Olaya, dedicated to the production of rainbow trout.
